FYI i have a notebook mac osx, its about a year old.

what should i look out for? i have read that i need to erase ‘Caches’ and ‘History’, so i have. i also heard something about looking into the ‘Activity Monitor’ and there i saw under ‘CPU’ there were 186 threads. then above where there is a list of programs, they have the # of threads corresponding to the program.

there is also a list of real memory and virtual, what does that mean? there is far more virtual memory than real memory. whats up with that?

very few times, i have heard audio advertisements on my mac even though there is no window to which the audio announcement corresponds to. so since this has happened, i think i do have something.

what should i do?
